This fall's ballot features races for president, U.S. Senate, governor, the Council of State and a host of judicial and local races.
To fill out an absentee ballot form, the voter has to either make a copy of a government-issued ID, from a driver's license to a university photo ID, or have a notarized signature on that ballot.
The deadline to vote absentee in-person is 5 p.m. Monday, November 7.

The plan approved by the Forsyth County elections board has early voting starting Thursday, Oct. 20, at the central elections office only. The results are then printed out and given to the county auditor. Applications may be returned by mail, email, fax, or personal delivery.
There are 6.8 million registered voters in North Carolina.

Hundreds of thousands of voters are already casting ballots.
Voters who are permanently disabled, or their caregiver, may apply to be on the permanently disabled voter list.

Voters may request an application for themselves or an immediate family member from the Laurens County Registration & Elections office.
"They'll have to give their name and their address but they won't have to show any ID", Kimble said. On the stump, Pence has repeatedly encouraged voters to volunteer at polling places on Election Day.
The presidential race sample ballot for Garfield County includes Republican Donald Trump, Libertarian Gary Johnson and Democrat Hillary Clinton.
