KYLIE Minogue has been talking about the reason why she WON'T be marrying her fiancé Joshua Sasse just yet.
However, her cancer diagnosis has made the 48-year-old singer - who is engaged to actor Joshua Sasse - hate the phrase "there are options".
Speaking to The Sunday Times, Kylie said she sometimes wonders about children and it is a situation she has had to learn to deal with in order to continue enjoying life.
"When cancer strikes, you have to consider all that".
But she said that, for anyone dealing with the illness, there comes a point where "you want to scream" if anyone suggests there are "many options". It's marvellous! But when you're dealing with all the other stuff and things that you took for granted are taken away from you, it's like, yes there are options, but...'.
The songstress then confessed: "I guess you have those visions of, God, what would my child look like, be it a boy or a girl?"
Speaking about still having to go in for scans, she said: "Now it's more of a formality, I don't have to do it as often". What would I see of myself in them?'
Yes there are options, but...
The pair have vowed not to marry until same sex marriage is legalised in Australia and are responsible for the "Say I Do Down Under" campaign.
"I simply can't fathom on any level, whether it's moral or religious or anything, that I have the right to get married and to marry the person that I love and that somebody else doesn't due to their sexual orientation". We were deliriously happy. It's just not in my nature to blab about it all. I go, "Dammit, I wish I could just wear what I used to wear".
"He's an old soul - across the board, all of my friends have said it". I totally forget [the age gap], unless you're referencing a TV show from [ages ago] ...
"He's more old-fashioned", she continued.
Kylie is happy with the recent introduction of an official register for same sex couple which grants them numerous same rights afforded to opposite-sex couples. "I feel like the young one in the relationship".
