Brad Pitt surprised the celeb-filled crowd in the Beverly Hilton ballroom Sunday night when he made a surprise appearance at the Golden Globe Awards to introduce a clip for the critically acclaimed drama "Moonlight". Having the white superstar Pitt present the film just continues to show how out of touch Hollywood can sometimes be.
"It's born of the courage of a group of actors willing to strip to their souls and express their humanism inside mistake and misstep and misdeed", said Pitt.
"It is Barry Jenkins profound belief that we all stand at the threshold of change and forgiveness where we only grant acceptance and love to ourselves", he continued.
"Nominated for six Golden Globes", he concluded, "this is Moonlight".
Pitt's production company Plan B, which he founded with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston and Brad Grey in 2001, was behind the film Moonlight.
Pitt, 53, and Jolie, 41, have a voluntary temporary custody agreement in place that allows the actor supervised visitation with the children.
