Evan Rachel Wood can do no wrong!
A stylish statement! Evan Rachel Wood wore a suit that spoke volumes at the Golden Globes in Beverly Hills on Sunday, January 8. She wanted to make sure that all the little girls at home could see that dresses aren't a requirement.
Wood, who was first nominated for a Golden Globe back in 2004 for her breakout performance in Thirteen, returned to the award show for her current project, HBO's Westworld. "Just be yourself, your worth is more than that".
"This is my third nomination and I've been to the Golden Globes six times", she explained. She chose to wear a custom black Altuzarra tux with a classy white shirt instead of a gown on the red carpet, and it was everything. Plus, her outfit choice doubled as an homage to David Bowie.
"I love dresses-I'm not trying to protest dresses", she said.
In fact, the actress also rocked two other suits this weekend-a navy jumpsuit and printed 2-piece by Albertta Ferretti during all the pre-Golden Globes parties.
At just over a week old, 2017 has already delivered a fashion-packed red carpet.
In addition to her sartorial activism, Wood has spoken openly about identifying as bisexual in the years since she publicly came out in 2010.
