Katy Perry teased the opening bars of her brand new song "Chained to the Rhythm" on social media the other day, and everyone agreed that it has a distinctly reggae vibe. The track is the first single from Perry's highly anticipated new studio album. But while the single may be massive, its lyric video is anything but. An outspoken animal lover, Perry notes that all food eaten by Mr. Parsons was made with hamster safe ingredients. "Keep sweeping it under the mat / I thought we could do better than that, I hope we can", sings Perry, who was a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton during the USA presidential election. "Dance, dance, dance to the distortion, if you feel like turnin' up, keep it on repeat".
Perry has been preparing her fans for the release with a series of cryptic Instagram posts including a billboard of her face being installed, with the date February 10 and a video of a woman with a mirror ball chained to her ankle too.
