Tata's 1,000 PS T1 Prima Racetruck did a couple of hot laps too and managed to set a lap time of around 1min 35sec. All ten racers in this category were making their debut in a truck racing championship.
Winning the Super class race with a significant lead was Pitambar, while Shivnihal Singh and Gurujant Singh took second and third. Indian truck drivers were put through a T1 Racers Program, training and selection program conceptualized by Tata Motors.
The circuit was shortened to 3.1km instead of the regular 5.13km for the T1 Prima truck racing championships.
The second race for the Indian drivers was the champion class drivers where in Nagarjuna A from Andhra Pradesh bagged the first position followed by Malkeet Singh and Bhag Chand taking up the second and the third positions respectively. A one-make championship, six teams competed in the Pro Class category of the championship.
Pro Class - Comprising of Internationally acclaimed drivers with proven experience in the field of truck racing. One could see a marked difference between the driving style of the Indian drivers and the global drivers.
Nobert Kiss (Hungary) of Team Tata Technologies Motorsport, was the first runner-up, while Gerhard Korber (Germany) of Dearer Warriors clinched the second runner-up title. The overall trophy went to David Vrsecky. From the Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar to the scintillating Garima Yajnik with her foot-tapping Indo-western numbers along with vivacious damsel of melody added by Siddharth Mahadevan, KK and last but not the least the sensational performance by the young superstars from Saregamapa Little Champs, were few amongst the many other surprises that T1 season 4 had to offer.
T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship is India's only truck racing championship.
Czech Republic racer, David Vrsecky secured victory at the power-packed fourth edition of the T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship. The 10 shortlisted truck drivers from these applications raced at the Super Class Race on the Raceday.
The second edition of this program, TRP 2.0, received 3300 plus applications from all over the country.
