Arsenal have not approached Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel about replacing Arsene Wenger, sources have told ESPN FC.
Bild claim that the Gunners have been in contact with the German about taking over from Wenger, who will stand down after 21 years at the club.
The BVB coach started his career in the dugout at Augsburg and Mainz with the youth and reserve sides, but he graduated at the latter to take charge of the first team.
Although Dortmund are third in the Bundesliga and are not guaranteed European football next season, they have progressed to the Champions League quarter-finals, where they will meet Monaco.
A sense of clarity over what is happening, and going to happen, at Arsenal is desperately needed, but time will tell if Wenger offers it during the global break with a decision on his future. "I can't give you any information about the topic because it doesn't involve me", he explained.
Having looked set to achieve a top-four finish for the 20th season in a row, at present the Gunners find themselves floundering in sixth position, six points behind fourth-placed Liverpool, following their 3-1 defeat to West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday.
"I'm happy with my job in Dortmund and have a contract, so it is of no interest to me".
