Gionee A1 launched in India, pre-orders start from March 31

Gionee has sent out invites for the launch of the Gionee A1 at 12 pm.

The Gionee A1 arrives the WavesMaxx Audio solution for those who love music. The Gionee A1 was recently showcased at the MWC 2017 held at Spain. Both Gionee A1 and Gionee A1 Plus are company's offering from its latest Gionee A series, battery life drive and improved selfie camera quality.

Besides the selfie camera, the Gionee A1 is fitted with a 5.5-inch FHD 1080p 2.5D curved glass display. The Gionee A1 also has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage and the storage can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is a dual-SIM smartphone. This enables the smartphone to fully charge in just a matter of 2 hours.Gionee has always been concerned about delivering the best ever camera features, especially for the front camera. But to recap, the highlight here is the massive 16MP front facing camera, allowing you to take some high-quality wide-angle selfies. Applying the similar strategy on Gionee A1 as well, the smartphone comes packed with a 16MP selfie shooter. While this isn't exactly necessary for most situations, one would have guessed that Gionee would go with the trend and have a selfie flash anyway. It comes with a 20 megapixel front camera and has dual rear cameras with 13 megapixel and 5 megapixel sensors. At the heart of the phone, there's an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC with four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2GHz and the other four Cortex A53 clocked at 1GHz.

The Chinese maker had priced the A1 and A1 Plus at 349 euro and 499 euros respectively. Corresponding to the global retail prices, Gionee A1 is expected to be priced around Rs 24,999 in India. The handset measures 154.5 x 76.5 x 8.5mm and weighs 182 grams. Gionee A1 comes in three color variants - Balck, Grey and Gold.
