We are tracking more scattered storms and showers over MS and I still can't rule out a stray pop-up shower over West Alabama. Lows remain in the upper 50's to lower 60's most areas. Where we do end up seeing a lull in the rain, it will turn warmer and somewhat muggy with afternoon temperatures looking to recover back into the 70s across eastern Oklahoma.
This first complex of storms will be mainly dissipating by lunchtime, but additional scattered storms will be possible through the morning and early afternoon just about anywhere across eastern Oklahoma. The good news is the severe potential will be very low.
Storms will likely become more widespread across northeastern Oklahoma through the nighttime hours and into early Monday morning, eventually spreading into southeastern Oklahoma as well Monday morning. It is possible we could see one or two stronger storms with gusty winds and small hail. I would plan on a possibility of scattered storms on Friday and then a possibility of heavier rain and storms for late Saturday. I will have updates on where we could see rain tomorrow and the late week setup beginning at 9 p.m. on WBRC.
