After months of waiting the Samsung Galaxy S8 will finally land in shops next week.
Samsung throws in a pair of AKG premium headphones, valued at about $100. The devices go on sale for a price tag of Rs Rs 57,900 for the Galaxy S8, and Rs 64,900 for the Galaxy S8 Plus.
The giant tech Samsung's chief assured that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be the first device to regain customers' trust and love and will beat all their expectations. With its infinity display and bezel-less design, the device is compact and has a smooth, continuous surface with no angles and curved on both sides, making it convenient for multi-tasking.
The result is more "useful" screen than you've ever seen on a pair of devices this small: the S8 display measures 5.8 inches diagonally and the S8+ display measures 6.2 inches. The phone has an Iris scanner along with a Pressure sensor, Accelerometer, Barometer, Fingerprint sensor, Gyro sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, Hall sensor, HR sensor, Proximity sensor and RGB Light sensor. Both the smartphones comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with microSD support up to 256GB. Moreover, the smartphone also comes bundled with Samsung's own AI assistant dubbed Bixby. Despite once saying that the Galaxy S8 "lacked attractive selling points" compared to the iPhone 8, Kuo is raising his shipping estimates for the device. This can be authenticated with Samsung Pay even in India.
There's also an upgraded processor, improved cameras and the introduction of facial/iris recognition which unlocks the S8 just by looking at it. The Galaxy S8 largely sticks with what worked last time around, hardware-wise, with another 12-megapixel main camera with f/1.7 aperture. They also come with faster charging capabilities.
Connectivity options include a USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v5.0, Global Positioning System and NFC.
