"I love NY", he added.
The New York Knicks have been a disaster despite having Carmelo Anthony, Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose on the roster, and now, they might have to resort to trading away one of their best players. When asked if he wanted to play, Porzingis responded: "Yes, absolutely".
Kristaps Porzingis - or Godzingis, as he's known in NY - has been everyone's favorite Knick since he made his National Basketball Association debut last season, and he's been a welcome presence for the 31-51 team, too.
Five days after skipping exit meetings with management over frustration with the franchise, Kristaps Porzingis told the New York Post that he loves New York, indicating he wants to remain with the Knicks. However, the 21-year-old Latvia native's future with the Knicks might be in doubt, per the New York Daily News' Frank Isola. Porzingis is reportedly looking for a way out of the the Big Apple.
However, Porzingis refused to comment about why he missed his exit meeting. As a sophomore, he averaged 18.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game in 28.4 minutes a night in 72 games as a starter last season.
